IMAGINARY DEMONS
Thank you for visiting this private page.
I am Miles Watts, a Yorkshire-based writer, director and producer working across independent feature production and the development of larger commercial screenplays.
I am currently moving between two new feature film iPhone shoots, while also developing projects with producers in the UK and US. My present slate includes an action comedy and a comedy feature being developed with Hollywood producers, alongside screenplays in development with UK producers.
My approach is straightforward: I continue making ambitious independent films while larger projects move through the development process. This allows me to keep creating, build new working relationships and demonstrate that I can take an idea from the page through production and into the marketplace.
IMAGINARY DEMONS
The card you were handed - with this marvellous artwork by Terry Henderson - is the primary film project I’d like to draw your attention to. I’m looking to work with a producer on developing IMAGINARY DEMONS into a commercial monster-action movie with franchise potential.
Tagline: NOSTALGIA IS A KILLER
Logline: in 2010, two video store employees unwittingly create a battleground for their own 80s nostalgia monsters in an explosive war between past and present.
IMAGINARY DEMONS slams together two distinct decades - the 2010s and the 1980s - in a scary, slimy and ultimately explosive adventure that takes two unlikely heroes back to their childhoods to confront monsters both real and imaginary, as they deal with death, horror, games and memories that threaten to rip apart the fabric of their very existence.
With laughs, shocks and dozens of pop culture references and totems to tickle even the most grizzled moviegoer, IMAGINARY DEMONS combines Millennial angst with Gen Z art school sass, to create a rollicking adventure back in time to the recesses of our minds.

Additional…
IMAGINARY DEMONS is one of THREE LINKED SCIENCE-FICTION COMEDIES: an UNOFFICIAL TRILOGY with accessible comedy, high-concept science fiction and recurring connections between stories. Each screenplay is designed to stand on its own, while the wider collection offers the possibility of returning characters, continuing storylines and a recognisable screen universe.
This structure creates the potential for a long-term series of films without making the success of any individual story dependent upon a sequel.
